“Striking and important.”

I’m Jamie Bellinger, an independent documentary photographer. Since the early 2010s, I’ve extensively documented protest, activism and grassroots politics in the UK.
In contrast to press or photojournalism, I’m interested in long-term thematic projects that focus on the people, stories and historical context of protest movements.
I am a self-taught photographer. My work began with far-right protests and counters in Cambridge in 2010–11 and the dramatic London student protests of 2013.
I’m now best known for documenting the Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil climate campaigns, far-right nationalism, and the movement for peace in Gaza.
