I’m Jamie Bellinger, a British documentary photographer with work exploring protest and activism. I’m best known for extensive documentation of far-right nationalist groups since the early 2010s, the Just Stop Oil campaign, the Black Lives Matter movement and anti-war campaigns including those for Palestine.

My work is centred on people, narrative and the relationship between protest and the law. It emphasises the long term over the “now” of photojournalism, cutting through current noise to explore wider themes and historical context.

I was awarded the British Photography Award for Documentary in 2023 and 2025. My work has appeared in the Guardian, Prospect, Time Out, The Big Issue and more.
