Jamie Bellinger is a self-taught documentary photographer from Bath whose work focuses on protest, activism and grassroots politics. He began documenting protests around 2011 while at university in Cambridge, where far-right groups, including the EDL and BNP, often came head-to-head with left-wing opposition.
In 2019, his focus turned to the climate movement with the emergence of Extinction Rebellion and later Just Stop Oil, before working on documenting protests for Gaza from late 2023.
Jamie has photographed protest movements in Bath, Bristol, London, Glasgow and Cardiff, as well as abroad including in Berlin and Basel. At the British Photography Awards, Jamie won Documentary Photographer of the Year in 2023 and 2025, and the People's Choice (Documentary) award in 2024.
