2025 – 2026
After the protest group ‘Palestine Action’ was politically outlawed under the Terrorism Act in 2025, more than 2,700 arrests were made in Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square and across the UK of people writing alleged messages of support on placards.
In February 2026, the proscription was deemed unlawful by the High Court, calling into question the legality of the arrests, many of which led to serious terror charges.
