The Red Rebels
The 'Red Rebel Brigade' is a performance activist troupe associated with climate and anti-war protest in the UK and around the world. Devised by Doug Francisco and Justine Squire for the Extinction Rebellion London climate protests of 2019, the group has since inspired new branches across the UK and in other countries globally. These images document the Red Rebels both 'backstage' and in performance, with preparations for the largest ever gathering of Red Rebels at the 'Funeral for Nature' climate procession in Bath, England in April 2024, and a Red Rebels anti-war procession up Glastonbury Tor in November 2025.
